Shining Smile Project
Everyone should have the chance to smile! Shining Smile Project helps ex-drug abusers in Hong Kong to rebuild their oral health and regain self-confidence. Drug abuse is associated with serious oral health problems including generalized dental caries, periodontal diseases, mucosal diseases, and drug abusers may lose all of their teeth.
Organized by Second Smile Foundation and sponsored by Modern Dental Group, the Shining Smile Project provides free dental treatment and consultations to ex-drug abusers, in order to restore their worn dentition. The project was launched in 2016, Modern Dental Group has sponsored around US$140,000 in lab work, recovered nearly 100 patients and over 650 treatments were conducted.
Donated Dental Service
Modern Dental Laboratory USA has joined the Donated Dental Services program which provides free, comprehensive dental treatments to the most vulnerable people in the United States with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile. Since 2005, we have contributed an average of US$5,000 in lab work per year. These are people who cannot afford the necessary treatments and public aid. The program operates through a volunteer network of more than 15,000 dentists and 3,500 dental labs across the United States.
